DynastyTradeCalculators

How values are calculated

A clear look at where our dynasty trade values come from, how often they refresh, and how the calculator decides whether a trade is fair.

1. Source market values

Player values are sourced from FantasyCalc's public dynasty values API for 1QB and Superflex across PPR, Half PPR, and Standard scoring. We store those values in our own cache so every page load stays fast.

2. Refresh on a schedule

Values are synced regularly (daily via cron) instead of hitting an upstream API on every request. That keeps the calculator instant and protects performance for SEO and mobile users.

3. Draft picks included

Draft picks are stored by year, round, and format. When you add a pick to a trade, the calculator uses the cached mid-round style value for that format so pick packages can be compared with players.

4. Fair-trade verdict

Once both sides have assets, we total each side and measure the percentage gap relative to the higher side. Around 10% or less is treated as a fair trade. Larger gaps show which team wins and by how much.
